More Reasons Why God Chose North Dakota

The dreams I have been having about farmers in different places are beginning to make sense. Earlier this week, I was brought back to the fact that it was shepherds to whom God announced the birth of His Son. Why? Today I saw it. Jesus came as the Good Shepherd. He talked a lot about people being sheep and needing a Shepherd.

What is Jesus today? He is a lot of things, A Man of War, the Bridegroom, but the one that came to my attention this morning is “Lord of the Harvest”. If God would reveal Himself to shepherds when He came as the Good Shepherd, who would He reveal Himself to as the “Lord of the Harvest”?  FARMERS! I was reading the almanac yesterday on North Dakota and I saw that 90% of the land mass in North Dakota is made up of farms. I also saw that they are second only to Iowa in wheat production. (NOTE: This was in 1992. North Dakota is number one in 2024. Kansas is second.)

The Bible has a lot to say about seedtime and harvest, wheat, etc.  I need to do some study on this.

I suddenly saw why farmers have been having so much trouble in recent years. They have been going bankrupt right and left and losing the farms. This has been a tactic of Satan to stop God’s plans. I also saw that the banks are the institution that has done more harm to the farmers than anything. The banks, because of greed, have talked farmers in to doing things that have caused this fiasco. I also see that what is happening in the banking industry today is not because of economic conditions but is judgment directed by God because of what they have done to farmers.

Farmers understand seedtime and harvest and when they are able to bring that over into the spiritual realm, there is no end to what they can accomplish. When they see that the “wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous”, they will pull on that and they will fund the harvest of souls all over the world. (NOTE: As you will see from my writings, I have come to understand what the harvest really is, not just souls. Here is an article I published on the true harvest. The Harvest is not What You Think

Just as farmers in this country have given to feed hungry souls in starving nations because God has blessed them with abundance, so they will feed the spiritually starving nations with “The Bread of Life”. When I see that North Dakota is second to Iowa in wheat production, the Holy Spirit began a work in me. I have always had North Dakota and Iowa on my list of the two states I never wanted to live in. Somehow, I feel both these states hold something of my future. I did tell God that I would go where ever He wanted me to go. And He did tell me that I was called to places where few people wanted to go. He will do a work in the people who are quietly waiting for Him and they love Him and want Him, not what He can do. Lord, just show me where those kinds of people are and I will do what you have called me to do.
